UPLC is a small, nonprofit legal org that has 7 class action lawsuits to protect prisoners' rights. We are thrilled to announce the creation of a digital communications youth internship!
This new intern will use the internet to get more people involved with UPLC’s vital work fighting for prisoners’ rights. She is a young Black organizer whose work has already helped bring imprisoned people home to their families. In these difficult economic times, and amidst the current Black-led wave of protests against police violence, we feel strongly that this internship should be paid, but unfortunately, we do not currently have funding in our budget for it.
YOU can help make this internship possible with a donation of any amount, so we can get her started immediately!
Any additional funds raised will support UPLC's lawsuits, which improve conditions for people in prison (medical care, mental health care, solitary confinement, & more). Thank you for caring about prisoners!
