Uptown People's Law Center has fought for the rights of people on the northside of Chicago for nearly 50 years. We are a legal aid organization that answers the phone, meets with people who stop by, and shows up for our neighbors when they need us most. We fight illegal evictions, preserve affordable housing, and stand up for people who have been shut out of the system, including people who are system-impacted and face housing discrimination when they come home.
